Aon, the global professional services, insurance and reinsurance broking firm, has announced that Anshuman Srivastava has been appointed to the role of Reinsurance global chief broking officer.

Based in London, Srivastava has held a number of senior leadership roles at Aon, and has served on the firm’s Global ReSpecialty executive management committee.

In addition, Srivastava has played a key role in helping to drive the firm’s Reinsurance Growth Leadership and Broking Strategies initiatives.

Since August 2020, he has served as Deputy Head of Aon Capital Partners, the team that sits within Aon Reinsurance Solutions that focuses on connecting clients with alternative sources of capital, particularly third-party capital and insurance-linked securities (ILS).

In his new role, Srivastava will continue to collaborate with reinsurers and other capital providers to deliver scalable and future-ready products.

“He will articulate and align the risk appetite of the firm’s key trading partners with the evolving needs of Aon’s re/insurer clients, with the aim of achieving optimal placement outcomes, and providing access to differentiated capacity,” the broker said.

Aon also explained that Srivastava will leverage global insights and advanced data analytics to drive the creation of innovative capital solutions, aimed at providing the necessary capacity to support clients’ profitable growth strategies and foster better business decisions.

In his new role, Srivastava will report to George Attard, global head of strategy for Reinsurance, who commented: “As we navigate an evolving reinsurance landscape, our clients are increasingly focused on sustainable reinsurer relationships, choosing strategic partners rather than simply capacity providers.”

Adding: “We are delighted to welcome Anshuman into his new role where he will play a pivotal role in aligning reinsurers and broader capital providers with the diverse and changing needs of existing and new clients.”
